The basic itinerary

I’m submitting my PhD thesis in less than three weeks, and flying to Edinburgh to give a talk at AHM08. After that, I’m taking six months off and backpacking around Europe. Awww, yeah!
I’ll be trying to keep this blog updated with photos, stories and whatnot while I’m away. Here’s the current plan:

Rome and Sicily (more) | Sep 20 | Oct 6 |

Moscow | Oct 12 | Oct 19 |
St Petersburg | Oct 20 | Oct 26 |

Sweden | Oct 28 | Nov 3 |
Norway (more) | Nov 3 | Nov 13 |

I’m hoping to see some hockey in Russia, Finland and Sweden. Maybe I’ll buy new skates too. Apart from that, it’s all about the scenery, the cultures, and not being in Australia.
